Computer Society of India (CSI) – Student Branch

Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology held inaugural ceremony of Computer Society of India Student Branch on 20th August 2016 with 126 of Student Volunteers. Computer Society of India is the first and largest body of computer professionals in India. It was started on 6th March, 1965 by a few computer professionals and has now grown to be the national body representing computer professionals. It has 72 chapters across India, 511 student branches and more than 100,000 members. The Computer Society of India is a non-profit professional meet to exchange views and information learn and share ideas. Being closely associated with students, the Society has developed a well-established network of “Student Branches” all across the country. The activities conducted for the students associated with the society in our branch include Seminar on Project Based Learning on Saturday 20th August, 2016 by Dr. Vikas Shinde, Associate Professor, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, Sinhgad Institute of Technology, Lonavala; One day workshop on JSP, JQuery and JavaScript on 11th March, 2017 by Mr. Vilas Sangre, Director, Aerus Infotech, Navi Mumbai; Expert Lecture on “Leadership Competency in Software Development Industry” on 13th April, 2017 by Mr. Satish Yadav, Vice President (delivery and operations), IntiGrow Company.
