Institution of Engineers, India (IEI)

Civil Engineering Department

The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI] is the premier professional body of engineers established in 1920 and incorporated by Royal Charter in 1935 to promote and advance the art, science and practice of engineering and technology. It is the largest multidisciplinary body of engineers encompassing 15 (fifteen) engineering disciplines with a membership of more than 8.2 lakhs serving the nation for more than 9 decades.

Computer Society of India (CSI)

Computer Engineering Department

Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology held inaugural ceremony of Computer Society of India Student Branch on 20th August 2016 with 126 of Student Volunteers. Computer Society of India is the first and largest body of computer professionals in India. It was started on 6th March, 1965 by a few computer professionals and has now grown to be the national body representing computer professionals.

Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)

Computer Engineering Department

Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology held inaugural ceremony of Association for Computing Machinery, India Student Professional Chapter on 15th March 2018 with 120 of Student Volunteers. As the world’s largest computing society, ACM strengthens the profession’s collective voice through strong leadership, promotion of the highest standards and recognition of technical excellence.

Institution of Engineers, India (IEI) Student’s Forum

Electrical Engineering Department

In Academic year 2016-2017, Institution of Engineers (IEI) Forum was formed by Department of Electrical Engineering. The function was inaugurated by Mr. J. N. Mistry, Chairman of IEI Belapur local centre, Navi Mumbai along with Prof. P. N. Tondon, immediate past chairman of IEI Belapur local centre, Navi Mumbai and Prof. Baban U. Rindhe Hon. Secretary IETE Navi Mumbai Centre and Chief Guest Mr. S. M. Gadhari deputy executive engineer MSEB Panvel-2 and Mr. Kamlakar Ambade, MSEB.

Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE)

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India’s leading recognised professional society devoted to the advancement of Science and Technology of Electronics, Telecommunication & IT, founded in 1953. The IETE is the National Apex Professional body of Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Science and IT Professionals.

Mechanical Engineering Student Association (MESA)

MESA-AESA is an organization for the mechanical and automobile students which organize various seminars and workshops to enhance technical knowledge of the students so that they can stand proudly at any stage of their career. Apart from this MESA-AESA also organize Industrial Visits for the industry-academia Interaction to give the industrial view to the students.

Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE)

The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is a national, professional, non-profit making society registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. The Association of Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI) was transformed into “Indian Society for Technical Education” in 1968 with a view to broaden its activities to advance the cause of technical education.

Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE)

The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), was founded in 1981 at New Delhi by a group of eminent HVAC&R professionals. ISHRAE today has more than 28,780 HVAC&R professionals and Student-members. ISHRAE operates from 41 Chapters and sub Chapters spread all over India, with HQ in Delhi.

National Service Scheme (NSS)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It provides opportunity to the student youth of Technical Institution, Graduate & Post Graduate at colleges and University level of India to take part in various government led community service activities & programmes.

Wangdu Club

This idea of ‘Wangdu Club’ is initiated by PHCET way back in 2012. We look at this as a realization of a Phunsuk Wangdu – a character from the hindi film “Three Idiots”. The thought behind this club is to bring all ignited minds together. To give a nurturing environment to budding mind of students, that are full of imaginations and ideas. Wangdu Club is an effort to turn Imagination into Innovation.

TPC-PHCET

The Training and Placement Cell is an integral part of the PCE Institution. The PCE management is fully invested in providing sound infrastructure and human resources to maintain the Training and Placement Cell and the resulting opportunities the cell provides to students of the College. The Placement Cell’s primary objective is to provide training and placements to college students. Various activities take place throughout the academic year in the college. Students are motivated to take the initiative to develop their attitude, soft skills and are given the opportunity to develop technical skills alongside analytical capabilities The Training and Placement Cell aims to expose students to the nature of the corporate world therefore providing insight to their future professional careers.
