Insπre, a Mathematics Club from the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, PHCET had organized a One Week Crash Course on Engineering Mathematics-III in collaboration with EMTSI (Engineering Mathematics Teacher’s Society, India). The target audiences were DSE students appearing for Semester-III examination of University of Mumbai. The event was co-ordinated by Dr. Avinash J. Kamble and organized by the students of Insπre Mathematics club. The event was graced by Dr. Mathew T. Joseph, Principal of PHCET and Dr. Manvendra Vashishta, HOD of Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, PHCET.

A total 532 registrations were confirmed for the crash course. The main idea behind this event was to prepare the students for examination with proper strategies on MCQs & descriptive questions based on R-19 examination scheme. The crash course was divided into five days. The resource person for the 1st day was Dr. Pritam Wani and the topic covered was Laplace Transforms. And the resource person for the 2nd day was Dr. Teena Trivedi and the topic Inverse Laplace Transforms was covered. Functions of Complex variables was taken by Prof. Nandini Rai on the 3rd day. And Fourier series was covered on the 4th day by Dr. Narendrakumar Dasre. The speaker for the 5th day was Dr. Rachna Desai covering the module Linear Algebra: Matrix Theory. Strategies regarding MCQs and descriptive questions were discussed by the speakers.

The course also included doubt sessions at the end so that the students can get their queries solved.

On the 5th day, the valedictory function was graced by the presence of Prof. Algonda Desai. Prof. Desai encouraged the students with his kind words.

Dr. Narendrakumar Dasre, President, EMTSI also guided the students for their examination.

The workshop concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Avinash J. Kamble.
